Bruce

Bruce

Hi! I’m Bruce… now Brewsky, a Labra-Hound Twist with sweet chocolate eyes! My new family and I are now great buds!

Bruce, a playful and very friendly boy, LOVES to fetch his beloved bowling pin toy and can keep your arm busy for hours. We think a bit of retriever might run through him, or possibly Shepherd, and maybe even both – not to mention a little hound too.

Bruce has a passion for spending time with people – and the lady dogs – although he’s not a big fan of boy-dog competition. Why share the spoils when he can have all the attention himself? And Bruce readily deserves to have some one-on-one attention in a fabulous home, which he has now found.

ADOPTED!

Bruce was found roaming in the woods of Poestenkill in August of 2011. One year later, he found his forever family. He went “home” ready and waiting to play, asking, “Where have you been all my life?” Congratulations, Brewsky!

A note from the Rudmans, 9/17/2012:

We’re pleasantly surprised at how quickly Brewsky (nee Bruce) fit into our household.  We have a 5-year old mixed-breed female (Hershey) who recently lost her “other half” (she was part of a brother-sister bonded pair), and was putting on weight, sitting around the house and chewing her nails.  She used to be so playful with her brother – it had kept them both active. We wanted to find a playmate for her, and improve the energy level of the household.  It’s so much fun when dogs play together – they keep each other happy.

The first day we brought him home, Brewsky immediately started making friends with us, crawling into our laps and being incredibly affectionate. He’s a fast learner – in the first 24 hours, he learned how to navigate a dog door, and how to “go down” to get a treat. And he started working on Hershey with his friendly, persistent ways.  Although she wasn’t sure at first, before the end of the first week, he had broken through to her strong “play” instinct, and they were racing around the deck and dog pen together.  She’s perked up considerably now that she is part of a dog pack again!

Thanks, Dog House Adoptions, for putting us together with Brewsky!

Brewsky - September 2012
I moved in pretty quickly, as you can see. I do feel entitled to a comfortable lap.
